Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money

I just read this great book recently called “Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money–That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!” A long title, but a great read. It has totally changed the way I think about money and finances. You can see for yourself here: Link To Amazon

I’ve now read the second in the series and am half-way through the third. I would recommend reading this book as it has opened up my eyes to a whole new world. Check out the amazon page for more reviews and a look at 31 sample pages. And like one of the reviews states the author advocates tithing!

War on Iraq or just boys with toys?

Here is a quote from cnn.com: “They’ll use this whole thing as a big training ground,” Bamford said. “They’ll experiment with everything they’ve been thinking about for a long time.” (http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/ptech/03/03/sprj.irq.info.war.ap/index.html)

So are we going to war with Iraq to stop them from being a threat to society or are we going because we have new toys and have no where to use them? This is a question I’ve been asking myself for a few dyas now. So is war inevitable? So far it looks that way, but God can always change things. Hopefully not, but if so, I hope that the innocent are spared. My 2 cents.

GNUWin II: Open source tools for windows!

GNUWin II is a free compilation CD for windows that is full of open source goodness. I have used it at home to help my wife Carla get used to some linux programs. Once we both can get away from using windows at home I’ll be able to install linux at home and use it as our main OS. Of course I’ll have to keep some form of winblows on there to play the games I like. Of course that situation is changing every day.
